Introduction

The Saveguard exhaust products division manufacturers a range of high temperature resistant acoustic absorbtion and thermal insulation products for the car and commercial vehicle markets. Acousta-fil is our patented expanding exhaust silencer infill material and our Thermolastic thermal insulation system is designed primarily for use on commercial diesel exhausts to reduce heat loss where catalysts and particulate traps are temperature dependent.

Other exhaust products include long strand blown glass wool and needlemats for silencer infill and also pre prepared packs constructed from needlemat or glass wool, assembled on mandrels for ease of fit.

Acousta-fil^TM is a patented textile product with outstanding thermal and acoustic insulating properties. Acousta-fil has been designed for controlled expansion on initial contact with heat and is intended to fill complex voids with sound absorbtion media to a pre-determined density. Although Acousta-fil has been developed specifically for exhaust silencer or muffler infill, the concept also offers potential for use as a thermally insulating Catalyst Brick support media.
