Saveguard Tadpole Tapes and Dumbell Seals

Saveguard manufacture a range of fabric sealing tapes for industrial oven and furnace doors, duct gasketting, explosion relief panel seals etc.

The tapes consist of a rope seal wrapped with heat resistant fabric then stitched to form the profile. The selection of materials used in the manufacture depends upon the conditions found in the application. The density or hardness of the rope bulb material can be altered to suit the closing pressure of the door or cover etc.

The tail and cover material used are selected from the Saveguard range of resistant fabrics. The style used depends upon the conditions i.e. temperature, wear and abrasion resistance required.

Due to the many configurations of construction and size Saveguard fabric seals are made to order.

Typical fabrics used in the manufacture of Tadpole and Dumbell Seals:

	Woven Texturised Glass Fibre Woven
	Para-Aramid Fibre Knitted Wire Mesh
	Elastomer Coated Fabrics including Silicone
	Woven Ceramic and Superwool
	Silica and Quartz

When ordering Tadpole or Dumbell seals we require the following information. Diameter of the bulb, thickness and length of tail and total length of tape required. Also the application and duty involved

	Braided, Twisted or Cabled HT Glass, E glass, Ceramic and Silica fibre rope
	High temperature knitted wire mesh spring or core ropes
	Extruded Silicone sponge cord
	Reinforced hose (for water cooling)
